With international vines such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Podere Castel Merlo offers Bordeaux cuts which are elegant and of great olfactory impact, as per the tradition of Valcalepio DOC.
Long ageing in French oak tonneaux, chosen by the wine cellar for their less invasive impact compared with barrique, skilfully balanced with long years in the bottle, gives the wines a softness and roundness that blend with the decisive spiciness and hints of blackberry and rhubarb that characterise our great Podere Castel Merlo red wines.

Pinot Grigio finds an optimal location in the vineyards of Podere Castel Merlo, giving rise to truly unforgettable wines: processed with white vinification and aged for few months in acacia barrels, the Lapis Argenteus is a white wine with intense fragrances and is perfect paired with lake fish.

Vinified with a few hours on the skins, the Lapis Rosa is inebriating and exciting, with hints of pomegranate and rose petals, perfect for an aperitif on the Riva Acquarama – another excellence of the territory – at sunset on the lake.
